History of our team as a developer of ultrasound medical equipment starts from the beginning of the 90s as a part of the Research Institute of Radio Engineering Measurements (RIREM, Kharkov, Ukraine). The 1992nd was the year of issue of our first ultrasound diagnostic device with mechanical probes, and in the 1996th a fully digital system prototype of its own design with electronic scanning and linear probe was made. During the period from 1998 to 2006, 4 international projects of Ukrainian Science and Technology Centre had been successfully completed in cooperation with Kharkov National University named after V.N. Karazin. This allowed laying the physical basis for perspective technological solutions and new diagnostic methods. Conducted pioneering experimental studies of shear waves in tissue induced by radiation pressure force, laid the basis for a completely new method of the tissues elastic properties diagnostics with the help of the Shear wave elastography developed technology. In 2005, our team of developers became a division of the "RADMIR" Company, a subsidiary of RIREM, specializing in the development, manufacture and sale of medical equipment. A full range of ultrasound medical scanners with electronic scanning from the portable design up to EXPERTS class devices that have implemented all the modern technology of ultrasound and medical diagnostic methods was developed and put into production by "RADMIR" Company. Scientific research conducted from 2006 to the present, focused on the search for new and improvement of developed technologies, adaptive methods of synthesis and processing of the response signals for high-quality ultrasound imaging and accurate assessment of the diagnostic parameters. The results of our scientific and technological research are published in more than 50 scientific publications, including 12 patents and 39 publications in leading scientific journals of the world with the impact factor. In 2011th our team, the second after SuperSonic Imagine Company (France), implemented Shear wave elasticity diagnostic method (Shear wave elasticity imaging – SWEI). And in 2014th developed the original version of the compression elastography method which allows to increase the trustworthiness of tumors diagnosis and is on the level with the best global prototypes. To improve the effectiveness of the our developments results implementation in clinical practice both in Ukraine and abroad, in 2014, a team of ultrasound medical equipment developers decided to organize their own company named ULTRASIGN with the participation of the Swiss firm Makena Medical AG Company.
